Guy Pearce, Ben Kingsley to Star in Actioner 'Long Gone Heroes'

Santiago Manes Moreno will write and direct the Cannes-bound project, about a special forces soldier trying to track down a reporter in a war zone.
Guy Pearce and Ben Kingsley are attached to star in Long Gone Heroes, an political actioner from first-time feature director Santiago Manes Moreno.
Moreno wrote and will direct the film, about a special forces soldier for hire who's given up country, religion and hope. He is brought back for a mission to track down a female reporter in a combat zone who has becoming entangled in a political scandal. All the while, his former comrades are hunting him down.
Ines Mongil-Echandi, Moreno and Noli Mollakuqe are producing Long Gone Heroes through 7One7 Films with Jason Moring, Stanley Preschutti and Mark Padilla of Double Dutch International (DDI). Executive producer is Jay Fragus.
DDI will handle international sales, introducing the project to buyers in Cannes next week. DDI's Cannes slate includes family comedy Think Like a Dog starring Josh Duhamel and Megan Fox, the action thriller Doorman with Ruby Rose and Jean Reno and the mystery comedy Sometimes Always Never starring Bill Nighy.
Kingsley is represented by Chris Andrews at CAA and Rick Genow at Stone, Genow, Smelkinson, Binder & Christopher; Pearce is represented by Chris Andrews at CAA and David Weber at Sloane, Offer, Weber and Dern.
